ABOUT DONNA

Donna Talley is the Founder & Creative Director of DT CreativeWorks. For over 20 years, she has been a true creative force, having produced, directed and styled photo shoots for a wide variety of clients – from prominent home decorating retailers to the top national design & gardening magazines in the United States.

Donna’s first creative pursuits took her to The Juilliard School in New York, where she studied music composition. After several years working in music marketing, she moved to Saratoga Springs, NY, where she parlayed her passion for gardening into IvyVine Topiaries, a nationally-recognized garden boutique.  Her shop was discovered by magazine and book editors, and those connections led her to pivot to the next chapter in her career.  She was invited to create projects and stories for Better Homes & Gardens’ book division, which led to her producing and styling stories for several home and garden books and, shortly thereafter, magazines.

Over the course of her 20+ year career, Donna has produced hundreds of photo shoots and 60 national magazine covers. Her work has appeared in Better Homes & Gardens, Traditional Home, Country Home, Kitchen & Bath Ideas, Renovation Style and Country Living magazines, among many others.  She has also worked with several national brands such as Lowe’s, HomeGoods, Snap Kitchen, Country Curtains and Calico Corners to create advertising campaigns and visual content.

She now works as a freelance Creative Director, working with clients on creating visual narratives and compelling content for their brands.

Donna likes to say that, long after her Juilliard days, she is “still composing” – but for a visual medium instead of a musical one.
